COVID-19 UPDATE

To our customers and community,
New Zealand is at Alert Level Orange.
Please note: vaccine passes will no longer be required in line with Government advice. But we kindly ask that all visitors please follow health and safety protocols on our premises.
The Mackenzie District (Lake Takapo/Tekapo) is at Orange, please read the following information on how we will be operating at this level.
On arrival:

What we're doing to keep you safe:

We require all kaimahi (staff) and manuhiri (visitors) to wear masks. Free masks will be available onsite.

On all tours guests and guides will be required to wear masks. While under the Orange alert level, down jackets will not be provided.

The Dark Sky Project is a cashless site at Orange
Please find further information below on how The Dark Sky Project operates under each stage of the traffic light system.
At Red
- We are open and operating a cashless site
- Up to 100 people limit on-site, based on 1m distancing
- Face coverings required
At Orange
- We are open and will continue to operate a cashless site
- No limit on the number of people on site
- Face coverings required
At Green
- We are open and will operate a cashless site until further notice
- No limit on the number of people on site
- Face coverings encouraged indoors
